Business Development Manager

Haymans Tingalpa is looking for a dedicated Business Development Manager ready to lead business expansion, connect with clients, and explore new market opportunities.

Your new role:

  • Expand the Customer Base: Proactively identify, target and connect with new customers to increase market share. Drive growth and maximise opportunities within our existing accounts.
  • Cultivate Lasting Relationships: Build and maintain robust client relationships to ensure regular and ongoing purchases.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Strategically drive sales to meet and surpass monthly objectives, promoting steady revenue growth.
  • Effective Collaboration: Work closely and build trusting relationships with the internal sales team, other BDMs, and suppliers to leverage growth opportunities.

What you’ll need to succeed:                                               

  • Proven Sales Background: Proven experience in an external Business Development role, preferably within a wholesale environment or related industries, with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets.
  • Industry Expertise: Familiarity with the electrical industry is advantageous, along with the ability to rapidly acquire product and market knowledge.
  • Collaborative Approach: Desire and ability to integrate, communicate and foster long-lasting relationships within our team.
  • Relationship-Driven Approach: Proficiency in cold calling and long-term relationship building to fuel growth through exceptional customer service.
  • Sales-Hunter: Hungry for new opportunities in selling.
  • Autonomous & Motivated: Demonstrated ability to independently manage and grow a customer base while engaging with a supportive team and contributing to day-to-day operations of the business.
  • Travel Capability: Willingness to travel locally for client engagements, requiring a valid driver’s license.
  • Eligibility: Australian or New Zealand citizenship or residency is required.
